Price

• 1 to 5 tapes: 14€ per tape
• 6 to 10 tapes: 13€ per tape
• 11 to 18 tapes: 12€ per tape
• More than 18 tapes? Contact me for a special rate.
• Pro media: (Umatic, ADAT…): 21€. More than 6? Contact me.
• Reel: Super 8, 8mm: 14€ per 6 min. 16mm: 21€ per 4 min. Reel with sound track: +4€ per reel.
• Negatives, slides, photos: 2€ per strip or 4 slides/photos.
• Audio format: MiniDisc, Vinyl: similar pricing to tapes.
• Recording your files onto a VHS tape: 48€.
• Files on USB key: +14€ per order. Or online for 1 week: +7€ per order.

Garantie

• Repair of one or more tapes is free of charge.
• The total cost of the order is based on the number of tapes to be digitized, not on the total duration (minutes) of the contents of each tape. So you know the total cost of the order beforehand.
• If the tape content is longer than 3h45, the cost is doubled.
• You don’t pay for tapes with no content.
• If you receive a file that you can’t play, I’ll redo the digitization for free (Please let me know within a week after receiving it, after this period, the files will be deleted).

Process

• Tapes received by hand or by postal package. Pick-up at your home in Brussels: 9 euros or Free! for orders of 3 tapes or more.
• Processing, finalization and delivery of the order generally takes 3 days.
• Image stabilization. Correction to eliminate sound and video noise from damaged tapes, if necessary. Color, sound and contrast correction if necessary.
• File encoding with H.264 codec and .mp4 format, title tagging. Playback on Smartphones, Mac, PC, and most SmartTVs
• Secure postal delivery (free for an order of more than 9 tapes) or hand delivery.

By hand or by post

• We can arrange a meeting for you to drop off the tapes; I am located 5 minutes from the city center of Brussels.
• I offer free pickup for more than 3 tapes to Brussels and its nearby suburbs.
• Postal delivery is possible, and return is free for more than 9 tapes. Don’t forget the tracking number!

Expertise

• I have been working in video and digital communication for over 15 years. During this time, a part of my work has involved using archival footage to give them a new life.
• Processing these old medias, editing and color grading them, is essential to make the most out of these archives. It’s natural for me to provide this service directly to individuals, as well as through outsourcing.
