Pricing

• 1 to 5 tapes: €14 per tape
• 6 to 10 tapes: €13 per tape
• 11 to 18 tapes: €12 per tape
• More than 18 tapes? Contact me for a discounted rate.
• Pro formats: (Umatic, ADAT…): €21. More than 6? Contact me.
• Reels: Super 8, 8mm: €14 per 6 min. 16mm: €21 per 4 min. Sound reel: +€4 per reel.
• Negatives, slides, photos: €2 per strip or per 6 slides; €3 per 3 photos.
• Audio: MiniDisc, Vinyl: similar pricing to tapes.
• Recording your files to VHS tape: €48.
• ➡️ Delivery on USB drive: +€14. Or online for 1 week: +€9.

Guarantee

• Repairing one or more tapes is free of charge.
• The total order price is calculated based on the number of tapes to digitize — not by the combined running time of each tape. You know the total cost upfront.
• If the content of a tape exceeds 3h45, the price is doubled.
• You do not pay for tapes that contain no content.
• If you receive a file you cannot play, I will re-digitize it free of charge (please notify me within one week of receiving your order; files are deleted after that period).

Process

• Tapes can be dropped off in person or sent by post. Home pick-up in Brussels: €9, or free for orders of at least 3 tapes.
• Processing, finalization and delivery generally takes 3 days.
• Image stabilization. Noise reduction for audio and video (if needed). Color, sound and contrast correction (if needed).
• Files encoded in H.264 .mp4, with title tags. Playable on smartphones, Mac, PC and most Smart TVs.
• Secure postal delivery (free for orders over 9 tapes) or in-person handover.

Drop-off or by Post

• We can arrange a meeting for you to drop off your tapes. I am located in Brussels Haren.
• I can come to you free of charge for orders of more than 3 tapes in Brussels and nearby.
• Postal shipping is available — return shipping is free for orders over 9 tapes. Don't forget to include a tracking number!

Expertise

• I have been working in video and digital communication for over 15 years. Part of my job has always involved working with archival footage and giving it a new life.
• Handling legacy formats, editing and color-grading them is second nature to me. It felt natural to offer this service directly to individuals, as well as on a subcontracting basis.
